Among Catalans

I was teaching adults in Catalonia, Llerida near Montserrat, the place conversant with heavenly beings and protecting people. I was teaching teachers, educators who work with younger or older children, some of them with mentally challenged ones. They sometimes brought their pupils, too, and that is how I met Catalan children and youth.

A young person considered to be mentally challenged may find help in the music to which he or she can respond from his or her soul. In my experience, it is worth selecting pieces for them from among the truly inspired, noble compositions. We could see Roberto’s sweet attention to music. He struggled a lot in his everyday life but among us he was tamed by music.
